That's me on a jetty on Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra, ACT, Australia. The barely visible piramidal structure in the background is Parliament House, Canberra's logo. Here is where I started my tour of the lake. Yes, one shoe is yellow/red and the other one is red/yellow, so what?

That's the place where I took the lakeside cycleway. The above jetty would be just to the left.

A nice light effect as the cycleway zigzags through the woods.

A view of the Black Mountain cum Telstra tower from across a delightful marina.

The links of a golf course can be seen across this branch of the lake, which the cycling path passes on a wooden bridge.

A view across the lake. On the left the Carillon, a present of Britain to Australia. On the right the High Court.

The ripples in the lake water are real, not due to JPEG compression. Just compare to the smooth blue sky above!

Fujiko Nakaya's fog sculpture, in the Sculpture Garden of the Australian National Gallery. You can watch it for half an hour without getting bored, as the wind creates ever changing patterns.

Fujiko Nakaya's fog sculpture revealed. Note the fog-making device on the left. The devices are active from noon to 2pm each day.
